Ms. Willie and T-Rex visited Lincoln today to share about the Parsons Public Library reading program. Our students are excited about the summer reading incentives! 🦖📚☀️

Thank you Officer Hall, from the Parsons Police Department, for stepping in today and helping us with the crosswalk! Thanks for helping our kids safely cross the street. We appreciate you!!
Rocket Math Superstars!!

At around 1:30 this afternoon, the Parsons Police Department received a phone call from a male making a threat against the Parsons High School. PHS was immediately put into a Secure Hold and all other buildings were put into a Hold. Multiple Parsons Officers responded to the high school interior and perimeter.
The PPD was later notified by the State Fusion Center that multiple threats were being received statewide. This appears to be a statewide SWATTING incident.
The safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority. Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and support.

Our first graders went to Garfield last week. They enjoyed meeting Mr. Pontious and the second grade teachers!
We had a special reader in Mrs. Manley's class for May 4th! They enjoyed listening to stories, looking at his lightsaber and eating a special snack!
Preschool had a great time at the ice cream party on Wednesday! These kids earned the party by meeting their goal for the PTO fundraiser in the fall. Thank you PTO for letting us build our own ice cream sundae!
Yearbooks will soon be here! Each building will have just a few extras for sale if you forgot to order one. First come with a payment of $25.00. We can't hold due to the limited reserve amount. Stop by the school office to pay and reserve your yearbook copy.
The last Orchestra concert of the year is for kids! Bring them out!

Happy May Day from Mrs. Smith's PM preschoolers!

There was plenty of excitement and laughs Thursday at Garfield, as it was science day for kindergarten. They were in awe as teachers put on demonstrations and they did hands on activities to learn about things like rain clouds, volcanos, thunder, tornados, composting and more.
