Parsons USD 503 is welcoming Olivia Nolting into her new position this year as Parsons Middle School assistant principal and athletic director.
A seventh grade English teacher at the middle school last year, Nolting said working in administration has been her goal since she began in education.
She earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education in 2018 and first went to work at Parsons Middle School as a special education teacher. In 2021, she took over as head volleyball coach at the middle school. She continued her education, receiving her master's in education leadership from Northwest Missouri University.
“I am originally from Joplin, but played volleyball at Labette Community College and met my husband here in Parsons. I have three little boys that keep me busy," she said.
Nolting is excited for this school year, to serve the students and staff at Parsons Middle School.
“I am so excited that I get to be the assistant principal and athletic director- it's my dream job. I love that I will get to serve students, student athletes, and staff.”
