Mrs.Waun counted the votes! The winner of our staff pumpkin painting contest is... Ms.Hays!

Third grade ended a book report assignment by making a main character from the book out of a small pumpkin. Students could get creative and use paint, cardboard, paper, wiggle eyes, yarn, pipe cleaners, clay, and other items to portray the desired features of their character.

Students in Sherry Tierney's class have been learning about matter. They reviewed the states of matter Friday, and performed a science experiment, with a Halloween twist, with baking soda and vinegar, demonstrating a chemical reaction.

Following a visit to the Parsons Historical Museum, students in Mrs. Strode's class picked one item to research the history on. Students then wrote a digital book based on that research. Using Create a Book, Strode published students' books. Some will be displayed at the Museum.
