Vinyl records are making a comeback. For some, the appreciation never vanished. For many youth in the digital music age, vinyl records are foreign. Music teacher Ryan Bearrick Friday introduced students to vinyl records, how to handle them and use a record player. Vikes Rock!
More Perfect Attendance winners. We today during lunch we "spun" the wheel of names and rewarded those student who had perfect attendance with ring pops.
Kaden and Skylar won our Weekly Perfect Attendance Drawing. We had 153 (80%) students with perfect attendance this week.

Mrs. Shields' class enjoyed Sno Cone Day!
Sno cones on excellent on a scorching afternoon.
Today was the PERFECT DAY for sno cones!
After reading about Yosemite National Park, we explored with a virtual tour.
Mr. Holmes' class worked together to plot volcanoes on various parts of our world map. We then put together all of our map pieces to discover that volcanoes tend to occur in certain areas--especially within the Ring of Fire path!

Students in Mrs. Brimm's class finished out with the week with a science experiment "Ice Cream in a Bag". We got to practice sharing because those bags got cold fast!

4th grade students in Mrs. Shields' have been enjoying getting to know each other this week with some fun games. They had a lot of fun playing a get to know you game of rock, paper, scissors. Winners of each round interviewed their partner to get to know them.

Today we practiced teamwork in Mrs. Gordon's room! Students worked together to "save Fred" using only paper clips. Fred (the gummy worm) had to be put through his life preserver (the lifesaver candy) and back into his "boat"!
Richard and Elianah won our perfect attendance cash today!
