Mr. Holmes had a BIG surprise for his students today. As they were all reading the book, Spiders, by Nic Bishop, Mr. Holmes brought out his giant spider! Spooky things are happening in fourth grade at Guthridge.

Fourth graders wrote on pumpkins what they want to be for Halloween! What do you want to be for Halloween?
Mr. Holmes and his students wanted to thank the Faith United Methodist Church of Parsons for their donation of this comfy rug. Everyone is loving it!
Students in Mr. Holmes' class participated in a "book tasting" at the beginning of the year. Students went around the room in groups "sampling" different book genres. They then wrote about their favorite choices on their "menus." Scary books seemed to be the most popular choice this year!
