Students in Mrs. Brimm's class dressed up for spirit day. Check out these twins!

Logan completed all of his Science Study Island topics.

Today we made a tiny ocean, observed the salt in the ocean and determined the total amount of salt in the ocean.

No decision has been made about the status of school on Monday, but if you've wondered what factors into the decision to cancel school due to winter weather, there are several variables that are considered. Our goal is to make the decision no later than 6 a.m., however conditions may warrant making the decision the night before.

All activities for Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled due to the anticipated weather conditions. Athletic activities scheduled for Friday evening will continue as scheduled.

Students in Mrs. Brimm's class created a model of the ocean to determine how much salt is in a real ocean. After brainstorming ideas, students can up with a way to get the salt out of their tiny ocean. These little scientists made observations, graphed their findings, and were able to explain what they learned.

There will be no school Monday Jan. 19. due to the holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr..

Mr. Holmes' class learned about sound, waves, and communication in science. We made paper-cup telephones and used balloons to create models to "see" how sound works--through vibrations!

A BIG thank-you goes out to April and Duncan Charlick from "across the pond" in England for visiting Mr. Holmes' class during the holidays to spread joy through reading and delivering Harry Potter-themed gifts.
