First graders built Halloween STEM Houses today. We had to fit a ghost inside, and our house had to stand up!

Join PHS for a Trunk or Treat prior to the 1st round of football play-offs. This event will be held on Thursday, October 30th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Marvel Park. Wear your costume and join us for some spooky fun! Then stick around to cheer on the Vikings to a victory! We are also hosting a nonperishable food drive. Your contributions will help stock the Viking Pantry with items to be shared with our families district-wide. Examples include canned goods, shelf stable items, dried goods, and other boxed foods .

Students studied bats all week in first grade. The longest wingspan we measured was 80 inches! 🦇



First graders studied bones this week. They even got to see real animal skulls!

Bullying prevention week!! 10/20 - 10/24

First graders read about spiders today and made a fact web! Do you like spiders as much as we do?




Mrs. Smith's AM and PM classes had pumpkin themed rotations! They investigated a pumpkin, made a fence for pumpkins, ate a yummy snack, and got to design their own pumpkin!










First graders took a walking field trip to the public library! It was perfect weather for a walk and a great day to look at some good books!


Lincoln First Grade students walked to the Parsons Public Library today. Teachers tested their knowledge on the parts of a book they had learned at school. They were read two stories, and got to see what books they might want to come back and check out with their adult.
