The kindergarteners have been learning about the Kansas symbols. Today we had cowgirls and some Jayhawk, Gorillla, and Chiefs fans to represent Kansas. Kansas became a state 164 years ago.

Mrs. Peak's students practiced spelling their name and created a snowman. We looked at the difference in our names, noticing some have few letters while some have lots of letters.

Last week Mrs. Peak's class talked & read stories about snowflakes. Children then completed a homework project to decorate a snowflake. We learned that every snowflake is different, just like their snowflakes they brought from home, they were all different.

First graders had so much fun having a math snowball fight. They threw snowballs around the room. When the snowball fight was over, they picked up a snowball and wrote the fact that was on it. Snowballs = pieces of paper balled up that had math problems on them.

Presbyterian Manor residents and Lincoln first graders enjoyed meeting and playing bingo today. The students were excited to deliver their homemade cards and to meet their special new friends. The residents and students plan to meet often throughout the semester. 💙💛
