A poster announcing we are hiring a part-time bus driver.
The USD 503 maintenance crew has worked this week to plant new memorial tress in front of PHS, replacing those killed by drought. Measures have been put in place to help protect the new trees. The crew will reset the memorial plaques by each of the trees once work is complete.

Thank you to the Parsons Fire Department whose firefighters were on hand Monday to train PHS Career and Technical Education students in the use of fire extinguishers. Should the need ever arise for them to be able to use one, they will be ready.

For the first chess tournament of the season, Parsons attended the Chanute High School  tournament this past weekend. Kyle Chen had an impressive start to his high school years!! Kyle won all 6 of his matches , was our high point medalist and earned the 1st PLACE medal!! Lucas Fugate and Raymond Oler, 12th and 13th place medalists, both came away with 4 wins out of 6 to add to our team score! Stephen Castle added 2 wins to help the team. Parsons High School ended up winning the 2nd Place team trophy with a total score of 16. There were 12 teams with 53 participants in the K-12 Division. Awesome showing and impressive TEAM effort !!!
