Students from PHS Viking Media (one being Mrs. Shields' daughter) came to visit 4th grade and play a Halloween math review jeopardy game over 2, 3 & 4 digit multiplication with regrouping.

Mrs. Good's class had so much fun painting pumpkins today! A big thank you to the Parsons State Hospital Greenhouse for donating the pumpkins! 🎃

While learning about shadows and time, students in Mrs. Brimm's class created a Sundial and took it outside throughout the day to tell what time it was.

Today the class got to do mystery boxes. They had to dig into the boxes with "guts", "worms", "maggots", "brains" and much more to find their question over math or ELA and answer it.

Halloween sensory boxes with "guts, brains, maggots" and more. Students solved math and reading questions they took from the boxes.

Everyone got to enjoy lunch with their teacher in the classroom today. Mrs. Shields' students enjoyed watching family friendly Disney Halloween shorts.

Early dismissal today at noon.

Students in Mrs. Brimm's class were models of the Earth while learning about Earth's rotation and revolution. They demonstrated their understanding of how the Earth rotates around the Sun.

Some middle school students came over and helped out with Math in Mrs. Good's class! 💙💛

A big thanks to Nan and Ray Panek for painting pumpkins with my students today!

Mrs. Phillips' class is having fun making slime in science.

Division and Dramas, oh my! Students have been mastering the concept of division and reading dramas for the past 2 weeks in Mr. Holmes' class.

Students in Amber Johns' Life Skills class at Guthridge are practicing to perform a condensed, shadow puppet version of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

We are hiring a part-time bus driver. Great pay!

Check out Guthridge's own Cody Holmes and his students tonight on KSN and KOAM TV as they feature Mr. Holmes' "awesome" Haunted Stage. Elementary school students will get to visit the stage this week and next.

We finished up our matter unit in science with Mrs. Brimm's favorite experiment. After learning about acids and chemical reactions, we turned an egg rubbery and then bounced them!

More pictures from our egg experiment. Some students were able to bounce their egg several times before it broke.
