After listening to "Spiders" in Mrs. Shields' class, students worked on a spider craft, and together, came up with the main idea and key details that support it. Students then listened to a spider documentary while working to get some ideas on how to design their spider.

In 5th grade we discovered what happened when we combined an acid (vinegar) with baking soda.
While learning about physical and chemical changes in Mrs. Brimm's class, students conducted an experiment to write a hidden message and then made it visible with a blackberry. They created a chemical reaction.

Mr. Holmes' infamous big spider made its annual debut. This year, it brought some of its spider friends to try and take over the classroom!
Spiders dribble digestive juices onto their prey and then slurp up their liquified insides to eat them. Mr. Holmes' class used straws, warm water, and sugar cubes to simulate this!
